Considering recent exposition disorders, factories shutdown and political tensions the global price of food products has raised to its maximum rate in the last 10 years.
Our journalist reports quoting Russia Today: “based on the last report of The Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO), food products have reached a new global climax and highest rate from July 2011 and even increased from last year’s 30 percent registered raise.
FAO’s National focal point that pursues the price of international food market baskets shows that in October the price of a single food basket has increased 3 percent considering last month.
As reports suggests this increase in prices are caused by global exposition disorders, factories shutdown and political tensions. FAO’s Cereal price index has increased 3.2 percent while wheats price has increased 5 percent due to reduction in harvest by large exporters such as Canada, Russia and United Nations. Observing an increase in other cereals’ international prices.
In October, vegetable oil reached its maximum rate, meaning a 9.6 rise in price causing it a 4-month sequential increase. FAO demonstrate that this rise in the price of vegetable oil is almost affected by the constant worries about production loss in Malaysia caused by continuous deficiency in emigrants’ work force.
In the meantime, the price of dairy products meets a 2.5 percent rise while meat’s price increased 0.7 percent caused it 3-month reduction of price in a row. After 6-month of constant increase the price of sugar finally dropped 1.8 percent because of the limitation in global demand and high export surplus.
